Company Background Summary

Barron & Associates, P.C. (B&A) is an engineering consulting firm specializing in geotechnical and environmental studies and providing design recommendations. B&A's predecessor, James S. Barron, P.E. Consulting Engineers, P.C., was originally formed by Mr. Barron in 1988. In response to the steady increase in requests from clients, the professional staff has been augmented over the past ten years with the addition of engineers, geologist, hydrogeologist, and scientists experienced in subsurface studies, project management, and environmental regulations. With the expansion of the professional staff and the acquisition of professional liability insurance, the firm completed the metamorphosis by changing the name to Barron & Associates, P.C. in 1996.

B&A and its predecessor have acquired extensive experience in subsurface exploration and laboratory testing methods, foundation evaluations, groundwater studies and construction dewatering systems, design of earth retaining structures, and construction monitoring services. Foundation design and construction monitoring projects include numerous retail plaza and industrial complexes exceeding 100,000 square feet of floor area. Design of high capacity deep foundation (i.e., piles and drilled piers) and earth retention systems have been provided for several multi-story structures and projects requiring deep excavations.

B&A, located at 10440 Main Street, Clarence, New York, is comprised of a technical contingent of (18) engineers, scientists and technicians with a supporting administrative and secretarial staff. B&A's senior personnel have between 15 to 25 years experience each in their respective fields of expertise. To compliment the senior staff, a fully-equipped soil and concrete laboratory has been established and several staff level geologists and technicians are available to undertake material characterization and site inspection services.
